Erna Mačkić is a member of the Board of Directors of the Center for Post-Conflict Research. She was an analyst, journalist, and editor-in-chief of all projects of the Balkan Investigative Reporting Network of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BIRN BiH) from June 2007 to May 2019. She began her journalistic career in 2002 after graduating from the Department of Political Science at the University of Sarajevo. She reported for the daily newspaper Dnevni list and the weekly magazine Danas on political, judicial, and economic topics. After the establishment of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, she specialized in reporting on war crimes and organized crime cases. For several years she managed the advocacy work at the Association of Reporters from the Court of BiH. Her interests are investigative journalism, transitional justice, and human rights. She is the author of several publications on the work and transparency of the judiciary in BiH. She has a master’s degree in international and European law.
