Date of Implementation: 14–16 July 2011
Partners: Proof: Media for Social Justice
Supported By: U.S. Embassy in Bosnia-Herzegovina and the U.S. State Department in Washington, D.C.

Primary objective
To educate members of the youth, civil society, and international community about the topics of moral courage and rescuer behavior and their importance in attaining sustainable peace in post-conflict settings.

Utilizing various forms of media and communication—from panel discussions and personal narratives, to photography exhibitions and film—the 2-day conference not only highlighted the heroic actions of those who acted on behalf of others in times of danger, but also the important role that youth can have in the dissemination of such important stories using the tools of media. Youth participants heard from a wide range of educators, photographers, filmmakers, and youth activists from across BiH, the greater Balkans region, and the world. The diversity of youth participants is highly notable, representing 15 Bosnian cities, 6 regional cities and 19 countries.
